You’ll join an established Hand Therapy team led by a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and work alongside experienced AHTA-accredited hand therapists.

Be recognised for your experience

We know that one position won’t look the same for every clinician.

Your role and remuneration will reflect your hand therapy experience, capabilities and professional interests. We welcome applications from clinicians with at least one year of hand therapy experience through to highly experienced practitioners seeking appointment at a senior level.

Senior clinicians can contribute through mentoring, clinical education and service development while maintaining a strong clinical focus. Our Hand Therapy team has an established Clinical Lead, so senior clinicians can influence and contribute without carrying responsibility for managing the team.

Do meaningful and varied clinical work

Based primarily at our central Pimlico clinic, you’ll manage a varied hand and upper limb caseload that may include:

• Sports and workplace injuries
• Fracture management
• Pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation
• Nerve conditions and degenerative disorders
• Open trauma, wound, scar and burns management
• Neurological upper limb rehabilitation
• Chronic conditions such as arthritis and cumulative trauma

You’ll work closely with surgeons, GPs and other allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.

You’ll also have opportunities to deepen your expertise in custom orthosis fabrication, advanced treatment modalities and complex upper limb rehabilitation.

Experienced clinicians may also have opportunities to work from our clinic at the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Centre of Excellence.

If neurological upper limb rehabilitation is a particular area of interest, you’ll find a strong clinical foundation at Apricus from which to develop it further.

Depending on your experience, the position offers:

• A salary of $82,000–$109,000 plus superannuation

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who:

• Holds current AHPRA registration
• Has at least one year of clinical experience in hand therapy
• Cares about providing high-quality, client-centred care
• Values clinical excellence, collaboration and continued learning
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and contributing to a supportive team
• Builds strong relationships with clients, referrers and colleagues
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, current First Aid and CPR certification and an NDIS Worker Screening clearance
• Holds a current driver’s licence
